Continuous Monitor Radon Testing
Pro Radon Testing uses advanced Continuous Monitor testing devices from Sun Nuclear for our short term testing. The device is placed at the test location for a minimum of 48 hours and collects radon levels every hour.
We provide a multi-page report and the monitor output for your records. We e-mail our reports to you within 24 hours. A printed report is also available on request.
We follow ANSI/AARST Radon Testing Protocols. Our Continuous Monitor equipment is maintained and calibrated per the manufacturer’s intervals.

Radon Testing in Well Water
Radon in well water, in high concentrations, can add to the risk of lung cancer. Pro Radon Testing can test your well water using approved technique.
Why Test For Radon
- Radon has been identified as the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer in the US, second only to smoking
- Radon is odorless, colorless and tasteless. The only way to determine if you have elevated levels of radon is to test for it
- Any home can have elevated radon levels – homes with basements, or without, homes on slabs or crawlspaces, drafty homes or tight homes
- No area, home or neighborhood is immune from radon
The EPA Recommends Radon Testing
The EPA recommends that you have your home tested as part of a real estate transaction, or when you complete major renovations or weatherization. It is recommended to perform a follow up test every 5 years if you do not have mitigation and every 2 years if you have a mitigation system.
Pro Radon Testing performs a complimentary visual check of mitigation systems during a follow-up radon tests.
How Radon Enters Your Home

Radon is a naturally occurring gas that typically dissipates into the atmosphere. It can, however, become trapped in your home, especially if your home is energy efficient and relatively air tight.
Any home can have elevated levels of radon, slab-on-grade, crawlspace or basement foundations. It can enter your home through:
- Cracks in the foundation
- Basement windows
- Showers and other plumbing
- Sump pump drainage
- Your well water system
